This was my entry into the Freelance Switch website redesign competition.

I tried to keep the design professional, and clean, and tried to play up the friendly nature of the copy.

This entry became one of the finalists in the contest.

Freelance Project

World Football Group is a local business that specialises in developing young footballers, through their holiday programs, schools, clubs and tours.

I was required to design a series of 8 page brochures to outline the overseas trials that WFG run for their players. The brochures were to show the facilities WFG offers, the itinerary of the trip, and an application form, whilst keeping it consistent with other WFG branding.

World Football Group also launched their own club, the South West Wanderers. I was required to design a logo to be worn on the team’s shirts and equipment that was consistent with the existing WFG branding. The logo tied the clubs colours (green and white) with the colours and branding of WFG (yellow, black and white).

DM Creative School Brief

The brief required to create a print ad to advertise STA Travel Insurance, conveying the proposition Travel Insurance for the Adventurous. The insurance is aimed at young people, and covers injury when abroad.

Because the insurance is primarily about health cover for young and adventurous people, the ad focuses on preserving the memories of the trip, by showing that with this cover, you’ll be around long enough to tell the stories to your family.

TAFE Assignment

Brief was to create an Identity and a website mock up, to suit a custom pool and spa builder.

The type in and surrounding the pool shaped space of the logo was used to imply people enjoying the pools both in and out of them. This shape was chosen as it is a very recognisable shape, and is unlikely to be confused to be anything other than a pool.

TAFE Assignment

Assignment was to design a dust jacket for a travel book. The book was to be titled Starry, Starry Night.

Las Vegas was chosen as the book’s topic, due to the city’s reputation of being a late night destination.

TAFE Assignment

A brochure design to promote a Blues music festival. Artists ranged from traditional Blues artists to Country and Pop musicians, and the location was in a beautiful coastal town. The artists and the atmosphere of the location guided the direction of the design toward bright and relaxed.

AWARD School brief

Brief was to design a Print ad to advertise Mini’s customisation options. The brief’s proposition was “Create your own.”

The poster is placed in frames outside, in locations such as bus stops and train stations. A whiteboard marker is attached to the frame, encouraging people to use it to “create their own” Mini.
